The Other Side of Freedom
My current WIP, with the second draft on track for completion in late 2025.
Strange things are happening at Summerland House for seniors, and Susannah Watt is afraid.
When the new owners lock her in their dementia ward as punishment for speaking out, Susannah decides her only option is to flee. She convinces frightened care worker Erin Hopper to escape with her.
With Erin’s volatile ex-husband and the police closing in, the women head for sanctuary at a remote beach – with very different goals in mind. Along the way they learn they cannot escape the past, that trust is fragile, and that freedom is an ever-changing thing.
